AFM Safecoat Hard Seal is a multi-use, clear gloss sealer is formulated to provide mar resistance to both low- and high-porosity surfaces. It forms a continuous membrane and when applied properly in a multiple coat application is particularly effective at sealing in outgassing pollution or toxic chemical compounds.

Use On	Previously painted walls, ceilings, woodwork, cabinetry, and some vinyl surfaces. Also effective on raw wooden surfaces.
Limitations	Using Hardseal on chipboard created before 1972 may create unpleasant odors. This does not apply to MDF, MEDEX, Plywood or OSB. If you want to be certain, please order a sample and test. Safecoat sealers are made without formaldehyde preservatives. Do not contaminate. Store in airtight containers. Do not use when indoor temperature is below 55 degrees F. Do not freeze. Thick application, high humidity or conditions other than normal will cause Safecoat to dry and cure more slowly.
Surface Preparation	Clean surfaces of dirt, grease, mildew and oil. Surface should be completely dry before application.
Coverage	One gallon covers approximately 300-400 sf based on surface porosity
Application	Before using, stir Safecoat Hard Seal well, then apply as is. Apply with a brush or sprayer. It is recommended to do a light sanding between coats to improve intercoat adhesion. Spraying Instructions Reduce with up to 1/2 pint of water/gallon as needed. Airless sprayers should use 17/1000 to 21/1000 tip Reversible tips are best Use only 30 mesh high pressure filters For best coverage, spray 18" from surface Overlap preceding coat with 1/4 to 1/2 the fan width.
Drying Time	Re-coatable after 2 hours in normal conditions. Normal conditions include a dry surface, access to fresh air flow, moderate humidity, and temperatures above 55 degrees F.
Clean-up	Clean tools and equipment while they are still wet with a warm soapy water solution. Any unused paint should be stored in air tight container for reuse. Or, add kitty litter to solidify in the can or roll out on a piece of cardboard and leave to dry before disposing. Do not flush excess paint down the sink or toilet.
Health Precautions	As with all coatings and sealers, keep container tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not take internally. Keep from freezing. Always use adequate ventilation.
