|USE ON||Unpolished marble, limestone, granite, sandstone, slate, brick, terra cotta, concrete (brick, tile, precast panels, cast in place).|
|LIMITATIONS||Safecoat sealers are made without formaldehyde preservatives. Do not contaminate. Store in airtight containers. Do not use when indoor temperature is below 55 degrees F. Do not freeze. Thick application, high humidity or conditions other than normal will cause Safecoat to dry and cure more slowly.|
Clean surfaces of dirt, grease, mildew and oil.
New cementitious surfaces should age at least thirty days and have a pH below 10 before coating. Scrub surface with an acid neutralizing cleaner. Triple rinse to assure cleaner is completely removed. Acid-etching may be required, followed by completely neutralizing the surface. Use extreme caution when working with acid and follow label and MSDS precautions. All acid residual must be removed prior to coating. Surface pH should be 7-10 for best results. Test surface porosity and profile by dropping water nto dry surface. If water drops fail to penetrate quickly, surface may need additional attention to create proper surface profile.
Before using, stir Safecoat MexeSeal well, then apply as is. APPLY THIN COATS with a brush, pad or airless sprayer.
Use a painter’s mask when spraying. Airless sprayers should have a 17/1000 to 21/1000 tip (reversible type is best). Only a 30 mesh high pressure filter should be used. Use a painter’s mask when spraying. For full coverage application, overlap preceding application with 1/4 to 1/2 the fan width at a distance of 18” from surface.
|CLEAN-UP||Clean tools and equipment while they are still wet with a warm soapy water solution.|
|DRYING/CURING TIME||Re-coatable after 2 hours in normal conditions. Normal conditions include a dry surface, access to fresh air flow, moderate humidity, and temperatures above 55 degrees F|
|HEALTH PRECAUTIONS||As with all coatings and sealers, keep container tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not take internally. Keep from freezing. Always use adequate ventilation|
