Why Is This Product On Rise?

AFM Safecoat® Dynoflex is a water-based, low-odor elastomer sealer that comes in a paste-like compound for sealing seams, joints and cracks in new and old heating and air conditioning ducts, and for repairing metal roofs and asphalt shingles.

Dynoflex can be used over Safecoat® DynoSeal as a topcoat for roofs and decks. Highly resistant to harsh weather and temperature changes.

Specifications and Important Details

Clean-up

Clean tools and equipment while they are still wet with a warm soapy water solution.

 

Drying/Curing time

Re-coatable after 2 hours in normal conditions. Cures pliable in 24 hours. Normal conditions include a dry surface, access to fresh air flow, moderate humidity, and temperatures above 55 degrees F.

 

Health Precautions

As with all coatings and sealers, keep container tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not take internally. Keep from freezing. Always use adequate ventilation.

Installation Notes

Surface Prep

Clean surfaces of dirt, grease, mildew and oil. Old asphalt shingles should be power washed prior to treatment. Surface should be completely dry before application. Always spot test for adhesion over prior coatings.

 

Application

Apply with a trowel at 15 mils wet directly from the container without dilution. Two coats provide additional protection. Note: these instructions are intended to be general only and not exhaustive. The applicator should determine which preparation and techniques are best suited to the specific surface.
