The Customer Service offered by Rise, specifically Andrew is second to none.
When I ordered, I accidentally put in a typo into my address. 4235 when it should have been 4234. My address is also a UPS shipping depot for convenience and delivery security.
UPS showed it delivered with signature, even though 4235 does not physically exist. Not even close.
I contacted Rise, and Andrew set things in motion with UPS right away. When UPS gave him push back, he worked with Emporia and, rather than have me wait, sent me a replacement.
My heart sank when I realized I had put a typo in my address and thought my money lost. I can't thank Rise (and Andrew) enough for their customer service.
Now, the Emporia Gen 2 is absolutely a great product. I recently installed a hot tub, and it has been absolutely great being able to track its energy usage in real time. It was relatively eazy to install, even having an older 100amp panel. The Sense energy monitoring system got me on board with this idea, but it's cost and the fact it only monitors the house energy use was a huge detractor. Emporia had everything I wanted in a unit, including price.
I'm not going to lie, it was a challenge getting all the clips in place and getting all the circuits figured out. It took about an hour to install, and then several tweaks of reopening the panel and reconfiguring things to get it working.
My tip is once you have all the clips reporting, turn off every breaker, and then turn each one on, one by one. Then you can see where it shows up in the App, and then go through the house and see what's on the circuit. My house was built in 1952, so it's a bit of a surprise to see what is connected.
Again, thank you to Rise and Emporia.
