Specifications and Important Details

Use onRaw wooden stained or previously painted cabinetry, doors, paneling, furniture, and wood railings. When specifying matte finishes the best surface clarity is achieved by starting with gloss coats and using the lower sheen as the final coat. For optimum protection and to block VOC emissions, three coats is recommended. For a tinted version use Safecoat Ecolacq.
LimitationsSafecoat sealers are made without formaldehyde preservatives. Do not contaminate. Store in airtight containers. Do not use when indoor temperature is below 55 degrees F. Do not freeze. Thick application, high humidity or conditions other than normal will cause Safecoat to dry and cure more slowly
surface PreparationClean surfaces of dirt, grease, mildew and oil. Apply test patches before undertaking large areas to assure good adhesion and lack of surface contamination. Wood staining should be completed before applying finish coats. Previously oil stained wood should be cured 14-20 days before Acrylacq application.
ApplicationBefore using, roll the Safecoat Acrylacq container well, then apply as is. Stir product thoroughly every 20 minutes during application. Apply thinly with a brush, pad or airless sprayer.
Drying/Curing TimeSandable after 2 - 4 hours, and re-coatable after 4 - 8 hours. The product will continue to cure and become harder over time. Normal conditions include a dry surface, access to fresh air flow, moderate humidity, and temperatures above 55 degrees F.
Health PrecautionsAs with all coatings and sealers, keep container tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not take internally. Keep from freezing. Always use adequate ventilation.
