AFM Safecoat® Dynoseal is a low-odor, all-weather, waterproof, vapor-proof coating, and sealer that remains flexible for years. It is highly resistant to flame spread and temperature change and, when cured, is also highly resistant to gasoline, oil, grease, fungi, acids, and alkalines.

Dynoseal is ideal for seamless roofs and as a deck coating and underlayment for shower stalls, pools, tubs, and saunas. It is also recommended for use in repairing roofs, flashing, shingles, and metal seams and as a vapor barrier against moisture from below-grade foundations.

Specifications and Important Details

Use OnSeamless roofs and as a deck coating and underlayment for shower stalls, pools, tubs and saunas. It is also recommended for use in repairing roofs, flashing, shingles and metal seams, and as a vapor barrier against moisture from below-grade foundations.
LimitationsSafecoat sealers are made without formaldehyde preservatives. Do not contaminate. Store in airtight containers. Do not use when indoor temperature is below 55 degrees F. Do not freeze. Thick application, high humidity or conditions other  than normal will cause Safecoat to dry and cure more slowly.
Surface PreparationClean surfaces of dirt, grease, mildew and oil. Surface should be completely dry before application.
ApplicationBefore using, stir Safecoat DynoSeal well, then apply as is. Apply with a brush or 3/8” roller. Roof and deck coating: 2 coats. Below grade application: 4 coats. Safecoat DynoSeal is not meant to be exposed to the elements for extended periods of time. It should be top-coated with an elastomeric roof coating such as Safecoat RoofGuard. Note: these instructions are intended to be general only and not exhaustive. The applicator should determine which preparation and techniques are best suited to the specific surface.
Clean-upClean tools and equipment while they are still wet with a warm soapy water solution.
Drying/Curing timeRe-coatable after 2 hours in normal conditions. Normal conditions include a dry surface, access to fresh air flow, moderate humidity, and temperatures above 55 degrees F. Temperatures should be expected to remain above 45 degrees F for two days to allow full curing. Surface remains tacky to touch after drying.
Health PrecautionsAs with all coatings and sealers, keep container tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not take internally. Keep from freezing. Always use adequate ventilation.
